In 2025, I made 2 puppets for Fireflies Entertainment. Harold, the Giraffe with a short neck, and Tobias the Tortoise. Harold is made of carved plasterzote and a plasterzote and webbing neck with a ball joint connecting the head and the neck.

The base for Harold before carving and sanding. And a few cups of tea.
Using the 3D model I created sections the same thickness as the plasterzote to waste as little plasterzote as possible. I then used contact cement to glue the sections together before sculpting.
The body was made of reticulated foam
Tobias the Tortoise has a mechanism to move all 4 legs with one trigger. The body was designed in procreate and then built and tested in Fusion 360 before building from ply.
